File Manager app by Xiaomi guide

1. Open File Manager app by Xiaomi (Global version). If it's not installed, you can download it from the Play Store.

   IMPORTANT

   In Xiaomi's China ROM, built-in File Manager app does not yet support FTP client. Only the Global version does. If you're using a China ROM, you can install the Global version of File Manager from the Play Store alongside the built-in app.

2. Open navigation drawer and click Remote.

3. Click Add remote device and select FTP.

4. The following screen will appear. Click More to show Mode and Encoding options.

   

   To enter the configuration, please refer to the configuration details from FTP settings.

   • Enter IP address in Host field. e.g. 192.168.11.22
   • Enter Port number. Default port is 2121.
   • Enter Username and Password. If Anonymous login is enabled in FTP settings, check Anonymous checkbox.
   • Set Mode to Passive or Active as specified in FTP settings.
   • Change Encoding from Auto to UTF-8.

5. In Show name, enter your desired name and click OK.
