How to enable USB Debugging?

The methods for enabling USB debugging vary depending on the devices, but the concept remains the same.

For Xiaomi devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app and click on My device.
    • Click on Detailed info and specs or All specs.
    • Click on OS version or MIUI version 7 times until you see No need, you are already a developer. toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the Settings home page and scroll down.
    • Click on Additional settings, scroll down and click on Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Check the box labeled I'm aware of the possible risks ... and click on OK.

    To use buttons, including keyboard and Trackpad, you must also turn on USB debugging (Security settings). To enable this option, you must login to your MI account in Settings. This option allows to simulate input like keyboard and Trackpad.

For Samsung devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app, scroll down and click on About phone / About tablet.
    • Click on Software information.
    • Click on Build number 7 times until you see Developer mode has been enabled. toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the Settings home page and scroll down to the bottom.
    • Click on Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Tap OK to confirm.

For Oppo devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app, scroll down and click on About device.
    • Click on Version.
    • Click on Build number 7 times until you see No need, you are already a developer. toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the Settings home page and click on Additional Settings.
    • Click on Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Tap OK to confirm.

For Vivo devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app and click on System management > About phone > Version info. If not found, click on More settings > About phone.
    • Click on Software version 7 times until you see No need, you are already a developer. toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the System management or More settings page.
    • Click on Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Tap OK to confirm.

For Realme devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app, scroll down and click on About phone / About tablet.
    • Click on Version.
    • Click on Build number 7 times until you see You are now in Developer mode! toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the Settings home page and click on Additional settings.
    • Click on Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Tap OK to confirm.

For other Android devices

  1. Enable Developer options

    • Open Settings app, scroll down and click on About / About phone / About tablet. If not found, look under Settings > System or Settings > Device Preferences.
    • Click on Build or Build number or Android TV OS build 7 times until you see No need, you are already a developer. toast message.
  2. Enable USB Debugging

    • Return to the Settings home page and click on System > Developer options or Device Preferences > Developer options or Additional settings > Developer options. Enable it if it's disabled.
    • Find USB debugging and turn it on. Device will request confirmation. Tap OK to confirm.
